So I made some!
The points meet on all but the one for my tool box. The tool box one passes so I can measure inside as well as outside. The points meeting is perhaps faster to read on a scale, but if you are going by touch, then there is not real difference in precision. So the one that passes is perhaps the most agile.

The burning is from using a spinning sandpaper disk to half lap and adjust angle.
I probably could have touched up with a scraper to remove the burn and make it look more professional. But my imaginary mentor shook his head, “If it ain’t broke, and it looks good, leave it be.”
