Normally you don’t expect a clamp to demonstrate too much bling and normally I don’t go for too much bling. Talent and artistry, he blogs about tools and toolmaking and he make an [...] Christopher Martyn at Finely Strung has a great article on making instrument planes! His are tiny, elegant and simple. Using Krenov’s basic method, he shows how to make a great little plane. With a few toothing blades from Lee Valley, or A top notch O1 plane blade, you could easily put together some really nice tools. Bob Cruising the web, I discovered a delightful wooden clock, with free plans. This looks to be a RATHER ambitious project. You could spend a bit and make it much easier. I like the puzzle clock here, these look like a good choice for starting. For fine art I would have to go with one of these [...] Jorge, (Lapacho) on Woodnet recently posted his rabbet plane design. I was intrigued with the concept, so I made one. I modified it a bit, but then, I do that. It makes nice shavings! It leaves a smooth finish behind! I tested it here on a splitting chunk of cedar, not the worst wood but not the best [...] Lately I have been enjoying going back over the Woodwright’s Shop episodes that are available online. Sweet!
